A companion node is your personal connection to the HRMesh network. Think of it like the radio version of a Wi-Fi adapter—it connects to your phone or computer and lets you send messages over the mesh network, even when the internet isn’t available.
These are designed for everyday use. You carry one with you, keep one in your vehicle, or leave one on your desk. Unlike repeater nodes, companion nodes aren’t meant to extend the network for other people—they’re simply your way of getting on the air.
Ready-to-Use Nodes
If you don’t want to build your own, there are several great options that come fully assembled. Most only need to have the Meshcore software installed before they’re ready to use.
Wio Tracker L1 Pro
The Wio Tracker L1 Pro is the one we recommend for most people. It has a built-in screen, rechargeable battery, GPS, and uses a standard removable antenna, all in a compact enclosure. It’s easy to set up and has plenty of battery life for everyday use.
Built-in rechargeable battery Small display GPS for location sharing USB-C charging Replaceable antenna
Typical Price: Around $50
SenseCAP T1000-E
The SenseCAP T1000-E is a great choice if you want something small enough to carry every day. It’s about the size of a badge, has everything built inside, and is designed to handle being tossed in a backpack or clipped onto your gear.
Because the antenna is built into the case, it doesn’t have quite the same range as nodes with an external antenna, but it’s incredibly convenient to carry.
Pocket-sized design Weather-resistant Built-in GPS Rechargeable battery
Typical Price: Around $40
Atlavox M1
The Atlavox M1 is a little more expensive, but it’s built with durability in mind. It uses a removable antenna and has a solid metal enclosure, making it a good option if you spend a lot of time outdoors or simply want something rugged.

Typical Price: $80–120
