Repeater Nodes

Fixed infrastructure nodes that relay messages to extend HRMesh network coverage.

A repeater node sits in a fixed location — typically on a rooftop, mast, or hilltop — and relays packets between nodes that cannot reach each other directly. Repeaters run continuously and are usually solar-powered. They do not need a companion app; they operate autonomously once configured.

For a personal carry device, see Companion Nodes.

Commercial Prebuilt

Off-the-shelf options require no soldering or assembly. You purchase the device ready to deploy with firmware already installed. The following nodes are recommended by the HRMesh community.

Atlavox Beacon Solar

A purpose-built solar-powered mesh repeater from Atlavox. Built around the proven RAK19007/4631 WisBlock platform, housed in a rugged IP67 aluminium enclosure with a shading design to keep temperatures down. Comes with a heavy-duty mounting bracket compatible with large and small antennas. One of the most recommended pre-built solar repeaters in the MeshCore community. Buy from Atlavox

  • Processor: Nordic nRF52840 (via RAK4631)
  • LoRa Radio: Semtech SX1262, 22 dBm max TX, 915 MHz
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth LE, USB-C
  • Battery: Integrated LiPo
  • Solar Panel: 5 W integrated
  • GPS: Built-in
  • Antenna: External via SMA connector
  • Enclosure: IP67 aluminium
  • Price: ~$247–$300 USD

SenseCAP Solar Node P1 Pro

A solar-powered MeshCore/Meshtastic node from Seeed Studio. Features an XIAO nRF52840 Plus MCU, integrated GPS, 5 W solar panel, and up to four 18650 batteries for extended off-grid runtime. The mounting bracket includes holes to upgrade from the included RP-SMA antenna to a stronger N-type connector — an upgrade strongly recommended for repeater deployments. Buy from Seeed Studio
